OrganizedWisdom has freelance writer jobs available for anyone interested in writing their "wisdom cards". These are all health related, and there seems to be no shortage of work. There are hundreds of available titles on the site at the time of this writing.
From the website:
We are building a team of Guides who get paid to create WisdomCards. We believe that human guides who are experienced at Web research and specialized physicians can do a better job at finding and organizing the world's best health information than machine-generated search engines can on their own.
Our Guides and Reviewers provide a valuable service to people who need to find trusted, credible and useful health information by creating great search results pages (which we call WisdomCards), featuring links to the world's best health wisdom.
The payment is monthly, and the pay-out is high, at $400. However, you would only have to do less than 40 wisdom cards in a month to reach payout. Here's how the payment works:
- First 5 WisdomCards: $10 each
- WisdomCards 6-10: $11 each
- WisdomCards 11-15: $12 each
- WisdomCards 16-25: $13 each
- WisdomCards 26-50: $14 each
- WisdomCards 51 and BEYOND: $15 each
They also have wisdom "stubs" available, which are shorter versions of the cards. These pay $4 each. This isn't really that bad, considering it's mostly a compilation of links. If you're a good web researcher, you should be able to complete these rather quickly once you get the hang of it. It actually reminds me of an easier, more health centered, version of Mahalo. I know that many of us have found ourselves in hot water since the changes at BrightHub limited a HUGE monthly income. I thought Organized Wisdom might be a good alternative, since they pay even more once you get a few cards done. If you're still looking for a replacement for BrightHub income, this might be a good choice for you.
I have heard grumblings on the WAHM forums that the payout threshhold is too high, but I don't think this would be a problem if you made sure to get at least 40 cards done per month. That's only 10 per week to get to the $400 minumum. However, I don't have personal experience with the site, so you might want to head over to the forums and inquire.

To apply, you must create an account and take an open book test. There seems to be a lot of helpful information about the process, creating cards, etc, on the website. If you have experience in the healthcare field, you'll also have a leg up on the application process, but it doesn't appear to be a necessity. From the website:
Most of our Guides are adults with experience as patient advocates, caregivers, health-care workers or freelance writers.
Visit the Organized Wisdom website to find out more about the process, or to apply. Good luck!
