Get Paid to Write - Pay by Page View at Bukisa!

Saturday, January 31, 2009

I wasn't always a fan of residual income sites, preferring instead to get paid upfront for all of my work. Then, I realized that I was actually losing money this way.

Sure, I might get paid $10 or $15 NOW for an article, but if I put it up on a residual income site, such as Ehow or Bukisa, it could continue to generate income for me forever.

If you're in the same boat I'm in, the "need money now" boat, than this might not appeal to you. However, I've found that if I spend a little extra time each week writing for sites like Ehow and Bukisa, eventually it starts building up and I have to write for upfront pay less and less.

It takes a while to build up an income this way, but if you work hard, one day you'll only have to write when you feel like it, instead of x number of articles each week to keep you afloat.

Another great bonus is that you can write whatever you want, however you want. At Bukisa there are no restrictions, except your articles can't be overt advertisements. You can write How-To articles, informative articles; they even accept videos. Now, I guess I'll get to the point and tell you why I love Bukisa so much .

You are paid a set amount per 1,000 page views to your articles. The amount changes each month and varies according to how much ad revenue the company made the previous month. The amount, also known as the Bukisa Index, for January is $3.95 per 1,000 unique page views.

Now, I know that if anyone reading this writes for Associated Content, you'll be delighted. AC only pays $1.50 per 1,000 page views - Bukisa is more than double this amount! Last month, the index was over $4.00 per 1,000 views.

I've only written 5 articles there thus far, but have already managed to begin earning on them. You can also earn money through referrals on Bukisa, so feel free to join my network. It doesn't cost you anything, as Buskisa pays the extra amount. Once you sign up, work on getting your own referrals to really maximize your income!

You'll be paid once per month via PayPal if you meet the payout minimum. The payout is high, at $50, but if you plan on devoting a little extra time per week, you should be able to earn this much in no time. I'm setting a goal of submitting 3 articles per week and plan to make payout by month 2.

The best part is that you are paid via Page View. So, all a person has to do is view your article. You aren't relying on them clicking ads, or rating your article. They only need to click on it. This is what drew me to Bukisa, but I have stayed because I love how easy the site is to use and how I can write on whatever subject I choose. Of course, remember to do your keyword research so you get lots of traffic!

Interesting review of Bukisa. I just signed up for Bukisa but I haven't written any articles yet. I plan to write a few articles and see the results I get. I looked at some yof our other posts that compared Bukisa to other residual sites and it was interesting to find out you could potentially earn the most at eHow and Suite 101. The information you posted about Suite 101 has gotten me interested in writing for that site. Great post and blog.

It appears Bukisa no longer pays per x-number of impressions. I just signed up and it is the same as Hubpages. I don't like it.
