"As a Content Current writer you will be able to pick the writing tasks that you like and submit then through our easy-to-use interface.
There are thousands of writing tasks waiting to be completed on ContentCurrent right now.
Our writers are on a merit based system -- clients get to review your work, and the better your reviews the better your rewards."
The site works in a similar fashion to Textbroker. Clients post requests and you can claim up to five jobs at a time. You are given a keyword or keyword phrase from which to write an article. Visit the Writer FAQ's for more information on how the site works.
After you sign up on the website, you'll be given a test article to complete. You are not paid for the test article. It is used to evaluate your writing skills. If you are uncomfortable with this, you might not want to apply for Content Current. However, I don't think it's a big deal if you want to be hired by the site. The article has to be 500 words and it's on a topic of their choosing.
I made it to this phase of the hiring process but didn't complete my test article in time, so I was denied. You only have one week to do the article before your application is declined. Before you apply make sure you have the time to write an article for free. My assigned article would have required more research than I had time to perform for free, so consider this first.
Once your test article is approved you can begin to claim assignments. Although I have not personally written for Content Current, I can say they have a good reputation and I've spoken to several writers who are happy here. The pay is, from what I understand, $5 - $8 per article. The pay is not listed on the site before you are accepted and each assignment can be priced differently.
If anyone has any more information on the pay or availability of work at Content Current, please comment. Your knowledge would be appreciated.
Visit the website to apply. Good luck!

The problem with contentcurrent is that their list of jobs in not always available. I would say it is very rarely available, and writing for it can be a long wait.
Payments are adequate 4to 6$ and are made promptly once a week.
Thanks so much for your comments. I've heard much of the same thing on the WAHM forums. :)
ContentCurrent might be a scam site; I have been waiting to be approved for 11 days; I wrote an excellent 500 word article and got no response or approval. Also I had no response to my 3 email inquiries. Maybe they think I plagiarized, because my article was good, but how can a person be sure that they will ever pay?
Hi! I don't think Content Current is a scam, but they don't seem to be the most reliable company to write for. There are numerous people on the WAHM forums who have worked for them. Perhaps you could post there and see what others have to say about them. Sorry you had a bad time of it. Good luck!
I've waited a month to be approved; I now definitely think they got me to write a good 500 pg article for free. I've read about such sites that get your work for nothing and a person never gets to see the "jobs" that pay--I'll find better ways to market myself because I am a good writer.
Hi, Sharon. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with Content Current. However, I know many writers who have worked for them, and can attest that they are not a scam.
I would suggest that you visit the Work at Home Mom Forums for more information and support from others who have worked there or may have experienced the same frustrations. (WAHM.com/forum)
However, if you're concerned that they have stolen you're article. One thing you can do is to post it on Bukisa, article directories, AC, etc. so that it becomes useless to them. Then, send an email and let them know that you've done so, as long as you don't care about the job anymore.
Frankly, I've heard that many people were not happy with the pay there, but others are quite satisfied. I guess it just depends on what you're willing to accept. I still receive emails from them detailing updates to their site, new jobs, etc.
Have you tried emailing them again? Perhaps your application was lost, or maybe they just don't need additional writers at the moment.
I have just signed up for ContentCurrent, and I do have to admit there's a certain appearance of "no one at the wheel."
First off, I reported some website bugs to the help desk - nontrivial ones! - about 5 days ago. No one appears to be looking at them, though - the ticket status continues to say "new". And there appears to be no other way to contact them directly except by filing another support ticket. The "Contact Us" link goes directly to the "Open Ticket" form.
Next, I applied to be a content writer and got denied - OK, it happens, although a little more feedback than "quality not good enough" would be nice (I'd have liked to ask, but again, can't find a way to contact them other than the possibly useless "Open Ticket" form.) But two days after my denial, a whole bunch of articles appeared in the "add jobs" area with fully functional "Add" links. Seems that though I was denied article writer status, that won't actually prevent me from claiming a writing job. Bizarre!
I'm focusing more on the forum posting at the moment. Their predecessor, Forum Booster, used to pay every month right around the 5th; it looks like now they don't pay you "until the job is complete and the posts are verified by the client." I'm not at all confident this will ever happen, given how many jobs have a negative number under "posts left". But I'm not expending too much energy on it this month, just playing with it to see what happens.
Who knows, I may be pleasantly surprised come July! If so, or if the issues above are otherwise resolved, I will report back here so y'all will know.
I'll also check out the WAHM forums you recommend. I'm not a Mom, but I do work from home, and this kind of feedback seems valuable.
Hi, Nicole! Thanks so much for the valuable information on Content Current. Although they are not a scam as many people think, they still have TONS of issues. I hear things like this all the time. I hope you get everything worked out, but please let us know how it goes.
Also, there are many of us on the WAHM forums who aren't moms (me included) so don't let that keep you away. It's really a great community for web writers. Good luck!
For God sake, authors of such reviews be kind to mention the fact where such site accept registration only from US of A citizens.
Contrary to belief of some there are other countries in this world beside US of A; and there in live authors who can write a line in English at least as well if not better than residents of US of A.
Any way the sites are protecting you from any challange from them by accepting US of A citizens only.
It will save those under dogs some time. thanks please!
I'm a Canadian, too. VS: Where does it state only the USA?

Hello I just wanted to know if your friends who work with Content Current got paid and when the usual pay date is...because at my writer's area it doesn't say when the payment date will be. I am a new writer at Content Current. With regards to responses from helpdesk, the first time I inquired about something -they responded (rather quick compared to what I have read in the posts here)...I just sent an inquiry about payment dates a few minutes ago. I hope someone can direct me to other writers of Content Current...Thank you
Content Current is owned by the same people as Forum Booster. They have had many, many complaints about lack of payment, lack of communication with writers and very poor track record in general.
They do accept writers from all over the world, but be wary of writing too much as you never know if you'll see the payment.
I must say this, contentcurrent.com is the only website that I have come across to have paid me for posting on forums. I have not tried Articles but I earned 20$ by posting.
Pay is low but is guaranteed.
Hello everyone,
This is my first time writing here, but I wanted to comment on Content Current.
I am a part time freelance writer, who writes for a number of customers, web-sites, and for up-front payment. I do quite well, and was looking for something to do to supplement my income.
I joined content current, and it has been a complete disaster. I submitted my test article on January 8th, heard nothing for weeks, and was then told on January 27th that it takes approx 15 days to become approved.
It is now February 25th and I've heard absolutely nothing. They got a free test article from me, have not told me if I am approved or not - there is no way I would not be approved considering the type of customers I write for.
Therefore, to anyone out there considering joining Content Current, I suggest you don't.
If I do ever hear back from them - and I probably won't, I will submit a post here to let everyone know. Other than that, I believe they are either inept or dishonest.
Take care

I have received payment from contentcurrent. With regards to getting approved to be a writer it takes them about a month to send an approval. They are slow on that. I suggest you check if you can write already. When it comes to projects, contentcurrent doesn't have that many and if you see projects there it's once in a blue moon. Do you have other websites that hire writers by the way?
I am also a fomer Forum Booster poster and agree with Bianca Raven. When I started with FB, they did pay on time but then payments became later and later until eventually, they did not pay at all. They excuse was that they were working on their new site (Content Current) but after the site was up and running, payments still did not come in. So, to those who sign up with CC, good luck and hopefully the admin. is much easier to work with at this time.
I have been visiting various blogs for my research papers writing. I have found your blog to be quite useful. Keep updating your blog with valuable information... Regards
Not that it is really needed with all the other comments on here, but I thought I would pipe in too.
I am a Canadian and was happy when I came across this site. After waiting quite awhile, I was told my article wasn't good enough either and I was turned down as a writer. I have been writing successfully for years so was not impressed when I was told that.
I think they just use it as a way to get free content and then tell you that it wasn't good enough while they still go and use it. When I applied I was not posting to bukisa or wikinut as I am now, I only wish I had saved it and then could have added it to my own sites for residual income.
Ah well, we all run into bad eggs once in awhile. I do wish there were more opportunities for upfront pay and residuals for Canadians though.
I do not recommend content current to anybody. My experience was: I wrote the test article for them. No reply for weeks. Then I mailed them what was happening. They reply, they accepted me. Again, for months no write job there! I was checking several times per day. Then I write to them 'do you guys ever have a writing job, just out of curiosity' They reply me weeks later some bs like: your writing skills do not meet our standards therefore you are rejected... Months after they actually approved me. Miserable people. They are a good example of exploiting writers, they trick out from you the test article, they sell it and that's it. In other words they give out the writing jobs as 'test articles' so they don't have to pay you.
