Sites that Pay for Page Views and Revenue Share

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

These sites pay for page views to your articles, or share revenue. They can be a good source of income if you write informative, keyword-rich articles. I'll soon be exploring some of these sites further on the blog in the future. See my list of residual income sites for more options.

Xomba is another social writing site. You make money via Google Adsense ads that are placed on your article pages. They split the revenue with you 50/50. You won't get rich but you could make some extra money here. I've never written anything for Xomba because I don't have the time it would take to make any money.

You must sign up for both Xomba and Google Adsense. The ads rotate on your article page between your ads and Xomba's ads. Fifty percent of the time they will be your ads and the other fifty percent they will be Xomba's ads. You get paid when someone clicks an ad that happens to be yours. I've heard of several people making a significant amount of extra money here.

UPDATE: You can also make money social bookmarking your articles. Each bookmark you submit, which is known as a Xomblurb, is subject to the same 50/50 revenue sharing terms. In addition, you can make 10% of the ad revenue from referrals on Xomba. They still get their 50%, you get 10%, and Xomba takes 40%.

Xomba is a great way to make a little residual income, while getting back links to your articles. Click here to try it out!

Get paid for Google adsense revenue generated by your articles. This is strictly tutorial writing on subjects of your choice. You must sign up for or have an existing Google Adsense account. You get 50% of the revenue, paid through Google. The bonus here is that you can post tutorials you've written on other sites as long as you haven't sold the rights to them. This might be a good way to make some extra money for articles you've already written.

Bukisa pays you when someone reads, views or listens to your content. You can also make money for up to three tiers of referrals. You could make decent money here if you had the time to promote your work. Pay is via PayPal once per month if your balance exceeds $10. See the website for more information on the pay scale.

Update: See my review of Bukisa for more information.
