I stumbled upon the website, Get Paid Writing Articles, today. It sounds good but I'm a little concerned with the lack of a contact point or any type of FAQ. I decided to go ahead and give them a try since they claim to pay immediately upon article approval. The amount they pay is not divulged on the site, so tread carefully here. I submitted a single article that I've yet to do anything with. Once I receive approval, I will update this post with information on how much they pay, waiting time, and any other info I pick up.For now, here's a snippet from the website:
"GetPaidWritingArticles wants all types of people to join this community! We want people who can write about normal stuff, cool stuff, everyday stuff, and really, really WEIRD stuff! We want whatever you can write about! NO reasonable articles will be refused!"
"How do we pay? After you've joined the writing team and start writing articles, our approval team will review your articles and as soon as they approve them we send payment to your Paypal account! It's simple, easy, and risk free! We DON'T WANT bank account information, addresses, or even real names. We just need an email address to send money to your Paypal account! "
As I was scanning the website, I also found this hilarious gem:
"Want to buy a nice dinner for your date this weekend? Write a few articles and get paid in time for your big date! Do you have a drug problem? Do you need more money? Write about drugs! Write about your experiences buying drugs! Write about your experiences on drugs!"
Come on, all you drug addicts! It's time to write! Lol. :)
UPDATE: THIS SITE IS A SCAM!!!! SEE MY POST HERE!

Any luck with these guys yet? I'm just curious if they follow through.
I actually just got an email from them today. They said that my submission has been received and will be reviewed within 24 hours. I'm really hoping it works out because it's always nice to have back-up jobs. (Not like I don't have enough already but I'm a workaholic.) Anyway, I'll let you know as soon as they get back to me with more info. :)
Did you find out anything else? Did they pay or for your article or promise to pay?
I've heard nothing yet. Here's the email they sent me on December 11:
Thank you for your submission to Get Paid Writing Articles.

I just sent an email "for assistance" letting them know that I have not received a reply and would like to know what's going on. I'll post more as soon as I hear back from them. I hope it works out or someone just got an article for free! :(
I love your blog - very informative and helpful. I was wondering if you've received a response from these guys yet?
I've written this one off as a scam. I posted one article about two weeks ago and haven't heard anything, not even a reply to my email of inquiry. Since I posted my article, several get-rich-quick ads have appeared, and I believe this is the intent of the site, to get people in and sell very expensive packages. I originally suspected it might for for getting free content. There is still no payment info, and no way to contact the owner except for the address in the email confirming receipt of the submission. I have a writing blog and will be be warning people away.
Yep, I haven't heard anything back from these guys. I'm pretty sure it's a scam at this point and will be updating my post soon to reflect this.
It really irks me that they've effectively stolen my article! Ugh! Well, you live, you learn I suppose.
