Are you a mommy? Can you write about it? If so, you're going to love Mommy Think. They offer one of the best freelance writer jobs with upfront pay I've seen in a while. They pay $25 dollars for 30 days exclusive rights to your article, or $50 for 90 days exclusive rights. Then, you can even sell it somewhere else and make more money, if you so choose.
They also give you the option to add a bio and link back to your own blog or website. This would be a great way to make money and gain some exposure if you have a WAHM blog or parenting blog of any kind.
From the website:
"Specific subject areas include pregnancy, natural childbirth, midwifery, home birth, breastfeeding, natural baby care, cosleeping, baby wearing, gentle discipline and other natural family living subjects. For most articles, we pay $25 per article, for 30 day exclusive electronic rights, or $50 for 90 day exclusive electronic rights. We may pay up to 10 cents per word for extra special articles.....
In addtion to our fairly modest compensation, we would be happy to publish your article or story with a bio that links to your website or provides further information about any services or products that you offer. No affiliate links, please. We like personal stories, a bit of humor and good references. Articles should be 750-2500 words in length (though this is a flexible guideline)."
This seems like a great opportunity and the people at Mommy Think have a great reputation amongst their writers. There are links to some of the more prolific writers on the site that you could contact if you wanted more information about the site. Good luck, mommies!
